About The Position

Kite is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to curing cancer through innovative cancer immunotherapies, specifically CAR T-cell and T cell receptor (TCR) engineered cell therapies. The Facilities Ops Specialist II plays a critical role in supporting this mission by coordinating maintenance on essential systems and equipment. This position involves providing enterprise-wide support for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo), developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and managing or supporting key audit and compliance activities across the site. The specialist will also be responsible for responding to emergency notifications, coordinating repairs, and assisting with deviation reporting and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) processes. The role includes providing general maintenance support for areas such as production equipment, water for injections, packaging, and biohazard certifications, as well as managing assigned projects with limited supervision. Additionally, the Facilities Ops Specialist II will supervise contractors and team members, train CMMS/CAFM users, and participate in an on-call rotation. Requirements

  • High School diploma (US) and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 4+ years system and maintenance/equipment experience with specific proficiency demonstrated in parts CMMS Administration and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates maintenance on critical systems/equipment with supervisor.
  • Provides Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo) support enterprise-wide.
  • Develops and revises Standard Operating Procedures and manage or support key audit and compliance activities site wide.
  • Provides input for lower level specialists’ performance evaluations.
  • Responds to emergency notifications and coordinate with the technician/vendor to perform any required emergency repairs.
  • Provides support to key functional personnel in the administration of deviation reporting or Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) process.
  • Provides assistance in updating, creating, and assigning work orders including corrective work from both GMP and non-GMP systems to the appropriate functional areas.
  • Provides general maintenance support as designated by supervisor to include any or all of the following areas: production equipment, water for injections, packaging, and programming and biohazard certifications.
  • Manages assigned projects through completion with limited direct supervision and provides support to projects related to necessary site moves and relocation of facilities and services.
  • Supervises the workload of key contractors and other team members as needed.
  • Train CMMS / CAFM users in work methods, procedures, and proper use of the work order system site wide.
  • Required to be in an On Call Rotation.
