About The Position

Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Facilities Operations Manager for our Facilities Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Facilities Manager you will: • The Facilities Operations Manager must understand the building's complex design and equipment. Responsibilities include assigning and tracking the maintenance (within the CMMS) of all equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, elevators, grounds, etc., Establishes and administers the Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted functionality of all building related systems at multiple sites. • The Facilities Operations Manager will be involved with the design or renovation of the building by soliciting and evaluating contractor bids, consulting with architects, engineers and other contractors (working in conjunction with the departments Project Manager). • The Facilities Operations Manager responsibilities also include managing hazardous materials (i.e., departmental waste such as light bulbs, etc.), managing compliance with the Life Safety Code, building codes and standards and coordinating work with Departmental Leaders and departmental managers, developing programs to manage and improve operations, create deferred maintenance schedules, and manage all departmental training (including OSHA, departmental and compliance training). • The Facilities Operations Manager must work to develop and implement policies, procedures and emergency response plans to support operational readiness and business continuity. • The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day team management, to include hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, team coaching and professional development, team education on code standards and procedures, conflict resolution, policy administration, and disciplinary action. • The Facilities Operations Manager ensures adherence to the department budget through proper scheduling and staffing, review of all invoices and purchasing orders, and review of all contractor/vendor payment requests

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a manager (in a Healthcare setting)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a supervisor/manager (in a Healthcare setting)
  • CHFM certificate required within 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s preferred
  • Healthcare (in a hospital) experience preferred.
