About The Position

The Facilities Material Planner I indirectly supports Facilities Engineering and Project management teams to source suppliers and contractors for in house repairs and projects. Assists in resolving discrepancies in building facilities and maintenance activities. Research materials and service requests for accuracy and compliance. Recommends alternative sources to the various teams for cost effective solutions. Collects, records, tracks, and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews, and analyzes data to resolve any discrepancies. Uses software for functional area to compile, prepare, and process invoices, and generate reports and statistics. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with 4 years of experience, Associate's degree with 2 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient in MS office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Must have organizational, planning and communications skill bolstered by a collaborative work environment.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Self-starter, willing to make recommendations, take action and report routinely.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to create and analyze purchasing reports.
  • Experience with purchase orders, change orders, material orders, internal cost transfers, and account reconciliation.
  • Basic understanding of different types of purchase orders and methods for work release.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of business practices and procedures and the ability to interface well with all levels of management.
