About The Position

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the operational integrity and safety of a building’s physical infrastructure. This position oversees a wide range of services to ensure the work environment is efficient, secure, and properly maintained for all occupants. The role combines strategic planning with daily operational oversight to support the organization’s core functions. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement—contributes to the organization’s overall efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facility management, construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years in industrial facilities management
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Strong collaboration with maintenance and production teams
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP)
  • Familiarity with calendering, polymer or web-handling processes
  • Experience training technicians or operators on control systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, including forecasting expenses for maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
  • Oversee service contracts and vendor relationships for building maintenance, including security, cleaning, and landscaping services.
  • Implement and direct a preventive maintenance program to ensure the continuous operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage all space allocation and planning, including coordinating office moves, furniture installations, and departmental reconfigurations.
  • Lead facility-related projects, such as renovations and equipment upgrades, by managing timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.
  • Monitor utility consumption and implement energy management programs to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
