UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Eighty to ten years of experience in building repairs and maintenance, minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, as well as general mechanical repairs and general maintenance
Approximately two years of experience in hospital maintenance
Valid Texas driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred
Supervisory training or experience very desirable
Completion of an apprenticeship program in one or more skilled trades or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Performs the planning, scheduling and supervision of maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment and utility systems of UT Health East Texas facilities.
Effectively communicates with outside staff and department heads to coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair projects, and with vendors to exchange information and order/purchase supplies.
