Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility/machine maintenance within the bio-pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Experience managing environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Knowledge of WFI systems.
  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience creating and writing SOPs and applications for permits.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Compliance knowledge with local emergency response and environmental regulatory authorities.
  • Understanding of CGMP requirements.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Facilities department, including supervising personnel.
  • Implement and document preventive maintenance programs for all equipment affecting the production of company products.
  • Compile and maintain equipment repair histories.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance of equipment with production management.
  • Install new equipment and ensure it is operational.
  • Respond to security service alarms to identify and repair the source of the alarm.
  • Maintain reference materials (manuals, catalogs, schematics, etc.) to facilitate repairs and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Develop recommendations for procedural and process improvements.
  • Proactively support the maintenance needs of production departments.
  • Create and update SOPs as necessary.
  • Ability to file necessary reports and applications for permits.
