What this job involves: The Facility Manager ensures the proper operation of all aspects of a facility by establishing, operating, and maintaining a comprehensive Facility Management program. This role manages and oversees the Operations and Maintenance of buildings, building systems, and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Requirements

Undergraduate degree required
Three to five plus years of proven related management abilities within the industry
Ability to produce well-written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Strong understanding of facility operations and maintenance principles
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

Concentration in accounting or business administration
Two years' experience with vendor management
Experience with energy conservation initiatives and documentation
Background in life cycle asset maintenance and preventive maintenance programs
Strong relationship management and client service skills
Experience with compliance management and audit processes

Responsibilities

Develop, track, and implement energy conservation initiatives while documenting savings
Improve safety performance by changing awareness levels and modifying behaviors
Measure and manage client feedback, both written and verbal, throughout the year
Conduct formal and informal relationship meetings with key contacts
Ensure all critical equipment vendor preventive maintenance is completed per schedule
Complete all required training, action items, and audit responses for compliance
Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and facility standards
Maintain compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and local, state, and federal regulations
Produce well-written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
