What this job involves: The Facility Manager ensures the proper operation of all aspects of a facility by establishing, operating, and maintaining a comprehensive Facility Management program. This role manages and oversees the Operations and Maintenance of buildings, building systems, and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Three to five plus years of proven related management abilities within the industry
  • Ability to produce well-written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Strong understanding of facility operations and maintenance principles
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Concentration in accounting or business administration
  • Two years' experience with vendor management
  • Experience with energy conservation initiatives and documentation
  • Background in life cycle asset maintenance and preventive maintenance programs
  • Strong relationship management and client service skills
  • Experience with compliance management and audit processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and implement energy conservation initiatives while documenting savings
  • Improve safety performance by changing awareness levels and modifying behaviors
  • Measure and manage client feedback, both written and verbal, throughout the year
  • Conduct formal and informal relationship meetings with key contacts
  • Ensure all critical equipment vendor preventive maintenance is completed per schedule
  • Complete all required training, action items, and audit responses for compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and facility standards
  • Maintain compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Produce well-written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
