About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead facility operations for a high‑volume, automated distribution center environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all building systems, material handling equipment, and infrastructure while leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians. The Facilities Manager will partner closely with operations leaders, vendors, and corporate teams to ensure uninterrupted distribution operations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of professional experience in facilities, maintenance, or facilities engineering
  • 0–2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial or distribution center facilities, including: Conveyor systems and material handling equipment
  • Electrical systems (including 3‑phase/480V)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Working knowledge of maintenance safety standards and best practices
  • HVAC or building systems experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing facilities in a large, automated distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with automated conveyor systems, motorized driven rollers (MDR), or similar technologies
  • Vendor management and project coordination experience
  • Budgeting or cost‑control responsibility
  • Prior experience supervising maintenance or technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of facilities and maintenance technicians, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and driving performance
  • Oversee day‑to‑day facility operations including building systems, utilities, HVAC, electrical systems, conveyors, and automated material handling equipment
  • Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, local/state codes, internal standards)
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, including inspections, repairs, and capital projects
  • Monitor facility conditions and proactively address risks related to safety, security, and equipment reliability
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for facilities and maintenance operations
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to maintenance, safety, compliance, and operational performance
  • Partner with operations leadership to support business continuity, peak readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
