Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Worker provides light building and facilities support for Tresco’s Children Services operations in Albuquerque. This role helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing routine custodial duties, minor repairs, and general facility upkeep—all while following Tresco policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or similar role preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License (driving required)
  • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks safely and independently
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic organization and time-management skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Comfort working independently or as part of a team
  • Respect for diversity and ability to work in a child- and family-focused environment

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, common areas, and entryways
  • Empty trash and recycling and dispose of waste properly
  • Spot clean floors, carpets, windows, and surfaces
  • Replace light bulbs and perform minor upkeep tasks
  • Maintain custodial closets and ensure supplies are stocked
  • Assist with room setup or reconfiguration for Children Services activities
  • Edge sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and hard-surfaced areas
  • Trim vegetation and landscaped areas using hand tools
  • Remove litter and natural debris from exterior areas
  • Apply weed control using approved methods
  • Salt walkways and entry areas during inclement weather
  • Regularly inspect and report exterior safety or maintenance concerns
  • Complete special assignments as assigned by your supervisor
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and health standards at all times
  • Represent Tresco professionally and positively
