About The Position

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position will work at the Corporate Office and Technical Services Center in Moorhead, MN. The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance in facilities maintenance and repair, special project completion, equipment repair and miscellaneous duties. The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability. Works independently or with others to complete repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment, motors, heating systems, boilers, air conditioning, plumbing, other mechanical equipment, equipment used to maintain buildings and grounds. Completes miscellaneous duties including, painting, carpentry work, snow removal, moving office furniture, organizing supplies, maintain lighting systems, ceiling tile and keeping maintenance records, files etc. up to date. Also, on schedule inspect: eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, safety glass stations, exit lighting. Position will requires to be on call at times 24/7; respond to emergency calls for mechanical and fire protection alarms; work over time, early mornings, nights or weekends depending on the tasks to be completed (snow removal, renovations, etc). Follow all safety rules and ensures safety programs are being followed. Manage work orders and routine maintenance lists, read and follow blueprints. To be successful in this position requires a working knowledge of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, grounds care typical gained through a minimum of three years of related experience. Effective communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships are very important, as is the desire to expand skill level through education. The ability to handle multiple duties and schedules is very important. Must be able to obtain a Special Boiler License. Compensation Range: $25.22 - $31.52 /hr

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, grounds care typical gained through a minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships are very important, as is the desire to expand skill level through education.
  • The ability to handle multiple duties and schedules is very important.
  • Must be able to obtain a Special Boiler License.
