About The Position
Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Sparks, NV Status: Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday (occasional weekends/holidays) Join New Deantronics! We’re seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our Sparks facility operating smoothly. This hands-on role supports our operations and warehouse teams by maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment. Requirements
- Experience in building/facility maintenance (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and safety mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Professional, courteous, and collaborative attitude
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening (safety-sensitive role)
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and complex instructions
- Strong comprehension of written materials (checklists, memos, etc.)
- Basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions
- Skilled with hand and power tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred)
- Hands-on experience with equipment and systems maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations or support
Nice To Haves
- OSHA-compliant forklift training/certification preferred
- Certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing)
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues
- Conduct inspections and maintain service records
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and vendor coordination
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to support projects
