About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
  • Valid drivers license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) software.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with building codes and best practices in facilities management.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders and resolve issues efficiently and in a timely fashion.
  • Inspect and maintain building infrastructure, including, but not limited to, lighting, doors, flooring, fixtures, furniture.
  • Perform installation, repair, and upkeep of facilities equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized and non specialized repairs or projects.
  • Assist with preparation for customer visits, company events and conference room usage.
  • Support emergency response for facility-related issues (e.g., leaks, power outages, etc.) including off hours and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
