About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Technician supports the Facilities Manager in maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational facility. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring building systems, equipment, and infrastructure are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves. This is a full-time position that may require flexibility outside regular business hours to respond to alarms, system failures, or urgent facility needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of building maintenance experience in a large-scale facility (approximately 1 million sq. ft.)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and Department of Health regulations
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong work ethic with a hands-on, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms, emergencies, and system failures
  • Provide prompt and professional support to maintenance requests from building occupants
  • Coordinate with external vendors for routine maintenance and repairs, including: HVAC systems Electrical and UPS systems Fire alarm and sprinkler systems Backup generators Security systems Housekeeping services
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Monitor building systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance
  • Promote a safe work environment by supporting OSHA and Department of Health compliance and conducting safety training for employees
  • Assist with environmental health and safety initiatives
  • Act as a backup to the Facilities Manager when required
