About The Position

We are seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Tech to provide standard maintenance, safety, vendor partnership, and hands on assistance to our Grow/Process (G/P) Facility in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. This candidate will report to the facilities manager and assist with the maintenance and daily needs of the facility. This role could require travel to other Ethos G/P or retail locations on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated facility maintenance experience, as this position will be given responsibility to service the facilities of our business to deliver a best-in-class and innovative cannabis product and retail experiences. Previous cannabis experience not required; however, all candidates should have some familiarity and comfortability with cannabis. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • General knowledge of equipment and facilities upkeep, with a focus in industrial plumbing, Electrical systems, and Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
  • Experience or considerable exposure to a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Work history that demonstrates stability skills and willingness to accept new duties
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • High degree of attention to detail with the ability to be self-directed
  • Effective time-management skills & ability to work independently
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
  • Strong track record of accomplishing/exceeding tasks at hand
  • Proficiency in computer usage including MS Office applications, email, scheduling software, online conferencing, and more
  • Strong problem-solving skills including anticipatory thinking and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm composure
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment

  • Must pass stringent background test requirements of state you will be working in. Age requirements; MA 21, OH 21 and PA 18.
  • Possess valid driver's license or state ID card; authorized to work in the U.S
  • Ability to perform essential job functions for extended periods (8-10 hours per day).
  • Frequent activities may include sitting, walking, bending, climbing ladders, reaching, and frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds over a distance of up to 100 feet.
  • Work may involve exposure to cannabis odors, airborne particles, fertilizers, and high humidity in cultivation or processing areas.
  • Job duties may be performed in retail dispensaries, cultivation rooms, or post-harvest facilities, each with varied lighting and temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Environmental checks & ongoing observation
  • Conduct building tours, maintain equipment logs and report deficiencies for corrective action to the Facilities Manager
  • Perform and document building rounds to ensure equipment and systems are working to specification
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect the value and extend the life of all facility components and to provide for cost-effective operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair identifiable concerns at our retail locations and install systems to include plumbing systems, security systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, access doors, grounds equipment, electrical and HVAC
  • Effectively communicate in a positive, proactive manner with all team members, employees, and vendors; demonstrates teamwork
  • Manage, coordinate, and escort vendors ensuring minimal impact and downtime
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and service requests.
  • Complete all assigned maintenance requests
  • Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment, and follow all site standards and health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Replace and repair buildings such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors and equipment
  • Hang boards, pictures, signs and other wall fastened items.
  • Ensure site adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and is legally compliant with all OSHA, state, federal, and local regulations
  • Other assignments as needed
  • Reports to the Facilities Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
