About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of various systems including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC. This role involves diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery, managing spare parts inventory, and executing preventive maintenance schedules and special projects. The technician is also expected to respond to alarm calls, assist in maintaining facility equipment records, operate Johnson Control systems, and perform equipment calibration. A key aspect of the role involves strict adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and production schedules, with a focus on continuous improvement. A specific requirement for this position is showering before entering and leaving the barrier shield, indicating work in a controlled environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • High School Degree or G.E.D

Responsibilities

  • Required to shower before entering the barrier shield and again before leaving
  • Performs electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment and HVAC systems
  • Performs diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
  • Performs dismantling, assembling and installing industrial machinery
  • Requisitions and keep supply of spare parts
  • Performs Maintenance Preventive Maintenance Schedules, special projects and area repair requests
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and observes safety regulations/rules
  • Follow specifications, wire schematics, blueprints, job orders and assigned duties
  • Performs work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
  • Respond to alarm calls associated with equipment of building conditions
  • Assists in maintaining facility equipment lists, equipment files and history of repairs
  • Operate Johnson Control systems in regard to basic on/off commands
  • Performs calibration of applicable equipment
