Job Summary: This position will report directly to the Facilities Manager, will assist manager and peers with daily maintenance duties, special projects, etc., teamwork is essential. Provides general and detailed maintenance either with direct or indirect supervision, basic plumbing and other repair/replacement work as required. Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance.

  • Champion for Safety and implementing safe practices
  • Working knowledge and experience with various electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot racking, crane, electric systems, components and conveyors
  • Performs and documents run cycles on critical equipment
  • Maintain critical equipment and their functions including BMS systems
  • Diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in the facility
  • Maintain hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fire suppression systems
  • Perform custodial and cleaning functions if necessary
  • Knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drives). Ability to program, replace, troubleshoot.
  • Assist with inventory control for building maintenance items / supplies
  • All around general maintenance duties including basic plumbing knowledge preferred
  • May be called upon perform tasks after hours and / or on weekends as needed. Including responding to alarm calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Represent Schluter Systems in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience
  • Experience with mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical preferred
  • Familiar with industrial cleaning practices.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
  • Good communication skills required for interaction with internal staff as well as external vendors and contractors.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to use various power and hand tools
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
  • Good attendance is required
  • Certification in one or more facilities maintenance disciplines required (i.e., HVAC, EPA, etc.) - preferred
