About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and professional appearance of our commercial and operational facilities in the Green Cove Springs area! Job Summary: This role plays a key part in ensuring our properties remain functional, well-maintained, and ready to support our teams and customers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and proactive, with experience maintaining building systems and responding efficiently to maintenance needs. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally while working independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on commercial or industrial building maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work on-call and respond to after-hours emergencies
  • Working knowledge of basic trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • This is a drug free workplace. All applicants must be willing to submit to a drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of commercial and operational facilities (trash removal, light cleaning, painting, window cleaning, litter pickup, etc.)
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and general building systems
  • Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues including leaks, lighting, locks, doors, heating, cooling, and general wear and tear
  • Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks using a mobile work order system
  • Assist in environmental complaint tasks.
  • Conduct routine property inspections and patrols to identify maintenance or safety concerns
  • Maintain vacant or unused spaces in a clean, organized, and show-ready condition
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors (janitorial, landscaping, specialty repairs, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with the Commercial Property Manager regarding facility conditions, repairs, and priorities
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies
  • Respond promptly to emergency and after-hours maintenance requests as needed
  • Follow all Vac-Con safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Professionalism when interacting with internal teams, vendors, and visitors
