About The Position

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Maintenance and Facilities Technician will support the Manufacturing, OPEX and EHS departments by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This achieved by maintaining the facility and production equipment on its best working condition, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets (equipment, machinery, building, etc.). Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment Read and interpret technical diagrams Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause Mechanical and general facilities repairs, painting, carpentry, dry wall repairs, plumbing, HVAC, welding, roofing, landscape irrigation, toilets, sinks, and furniture. Troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control systems Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.) Supervise outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs. Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial/industrial facilities maintenance Minimum of 1 year experience in the electrical field with voltages from 24V to 480V. No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. Minimum five (5) years of experience in commercial/industrial facilities maintenance or similar environment. Two year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC or basic PLC programming Journeymen or three (3) years of documented maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software. Proficiency with verbal and written communications. Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Ability to work in a highly unstructured and ambiguous environment.
