About The Position

We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services. Job Summary MOR PPM Inc. is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Tech in Mirimar, FL. Under direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical systems throughout the facility. Must be willing to work flexible shifts and be subject to overtime. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required. Must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules, safety procedures, and policies. Essential Duties: A Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform as a skilled team member in the continuous improvement of all facilities maintenance tasks, and to ensure that all work is performed safely and to the client’s standard.

Requirements

• Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Plumbing: Installation/Repair of PVC piping, clearing drains, repairing leaks
• Electrical: Installation/Repair of basic electrical components (receptacles, lights, etc)
• Repair and maintain air compressors
• Ability to work independently
• Have a complete set of basic hand tools
• Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
• Perform work at heights
• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years facilities maintenance experience
• Carpentry, concrete work, and/or heavy equipment operator experience a plus
• Fire suppression system experience a plus
• Air compressor experience preferred
