The Facilities Maintenance team member is responsible for ensuring that the office environment remains clean, organized, and conducive to a productive workspace. This role is a part of a team who will share tasks to maintain the cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, offices, and other facilities, providing a high standard of service.

Requirements

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial work, with a preference for experience in a corporate office setting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, tools, and chemicals, with an emphasis on safety.
Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
Good communication skills, with the ability to respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
Flexibility to work overtime or adjust hours for special events or emergencies, as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform daily janitorial tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the building, including floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, hallways, stairwells, and kitchenettes.
Monitor and order cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including waste removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
Ensure the safe use and proper maintenance of cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to all safety and health guidelines.
Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met across all areas.
Respond promptly to facility-related requests and urgent issues, such as spills, stains, or maintenance emergencies.
Coordinate with facility management and other departments to support special events, office set-ups, or after-hours activities, including additional cleaning as necessary.
Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with team members and other departments.
It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.
