The Facilities Maintenance team member is responsible for ensuring that the office environment remains clean, organized, and conducive to a productive workspace. This role is a part of a team who will share tasks to maintain the cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, offices, and other facilities, providing a high standard of service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial work, with a preference for experience in a corporate office setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, tools, and chemicals, with an emphasis on safety.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjust hours for special events or emergencies, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily janitorial tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the building, including floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, hallways, stairwells, and kitchenettes.
  • Monitor and order cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper usage.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including waste removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
  • Ensure the safe use and proper maintenance of cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering to all safety and health guidelines.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met across all areas.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related requests and urgent issues, such as spills, stains, or maintenance emergencies.
  • Coordinate with facility management and other departments to support special events, office set-ups, or after-hours activities, including additional cleaning as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with team members and other departments.
  • It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.
