Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Three years experience performing skilled repair and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, and grounds related work; using specialized tools and equipment associated with trades indicated.
  • Ability to use a computer for word processing, and spread sheet applications as well as experience in work order software.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklift, man lift and other equipment safely

Nice To Haves

  • Technical trade certification/degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience interpreting architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical diagrams, plans and specifications
  • Experience directing staff and volunteers in the performance of maintenance and construction work

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate physical, mechanical and structural aspects of facilities to ensure to safe operation
  • Supervises remodel, repair, construction and installation projects
  • Performs preventative and emergency building repairs and maintenance
  • Works collaboratively with agency managers on their facility needs
