About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Specialist to independently manage the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep, and operational readiness of our headquarters and satellite location. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems in real time, and wants full ownership of keeping a facility running smoothly. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional, and professional work environment.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related role
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors and internal teams
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and mobile aerial work platforms (training provided if needed)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage building and grounds maintenance for headquarters and one satellite location
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs
  • Coordinate directly with vendors, contractors, landscapers, and snow removal services to ensure timely and high-quality work
  • Monitor vendor performance, verify completed work, and maintain required documentation
  • Identify maintenance issues early and take corrective action to prevent downtime or safety risks
  • Execute and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment
  • Source vendors, obtain quotes, and assist with equipment replacements and facility upgrades
  • Prepare facilities for seasonal changes and weather-related conditions
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
  • Assemble, move, and reconfigure furniture, shelving, and workspace layouts
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and consumable facility supplies
  • Promote workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
