About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist performs a variety of maintenance and repairs across multiple properties. This position is responsible for general upkeep, troubleshooting, inventory management, and coordinating with external vendors for services outside of their scope of experience and expertise. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist reports directly to the Senior Program Director or designee. This position is part of our Adult Mental Health Residential Services. Travel to CSG locations in Lancaster, and York Counties is required.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of general maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting.
  • Proficiency in safely using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to organize information and effectively communicate to location supervisors.
  • Ability to travel to CSG properties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify, resolve, and/or notify supervisor of problems.
  • Ability to interact professionally with employees and individuals receiving services.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Experience with project management and purchasing.
  • Willingness to learn recovery language and trauma informed practices to communicate with the individuals we serve.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the functions of the position.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record to travel to various job related sites and stores.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to those with relevant certifications and licenses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs that do not require licensure or are within scope of experience and expertise (painting, drywall, minor plumbing and electrical work, furniture assembly, plumbing, hvac, groundskeeping).
  • Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify and address safety hazards while following and modeling safety protocol, and CSG policies and procedures.
  • Obtain estimates and oversee external vendors for projects (e.g., HVAC, landscaping).
  • Coordinate with location supervisors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance tasks and projects
  • Identify local vendors that meet the after-hours needs of the program.
  • Develop relationships with company approved local vendors.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records around projects, tasks, and equipment.
  • Operate in compliance with all codes, policies, procedures and regulations.
