Job Description: This is an onsite position located in Champaign IL The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance and operational efficiency of company buildings and grounds. The Facilities Maintenance Manager also assists with Fleet logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years facilities maintenance experience required
  • Minimum 2 years in a trainer or supervisor role.
  • Minimum 2 years with CDL A license held
  • CDL A license required
  • Previous experience with coordinating a fleet pool
  • Flexible for occasional travel
  • Must pass a physical and drug test and obtain FMCSA medical card

  • Must be a well-organized, detailed and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of building trades or mechanical repair work.
  • Desire to provide high-quality customer service experience to employees
  • Experience in managing facility service contracts.
  • Technical knowledge of EPA / OSHA regulations.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks especially when handling an accident or incident.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building and grounds, telecommunications huts/cabinets, parking lots, etc. Systems include and are not limited to: fire suppression, plumbing, water, sewer, electrical, furniture, floor coverings, ceilings, roofs, mechanicals, HVAC, solar, generators, access control, alarm systems, doors and windows.
  • Ensure facilities are safe, secure, and operational with all utilities functioning.
  • Document all company facility locations including telecommunication CO locations for HVAC, power, and generator information. Establish preventative maintenance and emergency service for HVAC and generators. Conduct annual review and rebid of contracts.
  • Conduct regular safety and maintenance inspections of facilities, file reports, and ensure repairs and corrections are made. Tracks fire suppression and alarm systems testing and maintenance are up to date.
  • Create, document and manage preventative maintenance programs.
  • Keeps company Safety Data Sheets up to date and audits the list annually.
  • Determine which facilities maintenance and repair work are outsourced or performed in-house to optimize costs and keep employees working effectively.
  • Establishes and maintains facilities vendor relationships, obtain estimates, document installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance completed in-house and by contractor/vendors.
  • Maintains grounds, snow removal, lawn, and landscaping. Utility accounts, refuse and recycling, and janitorial supplies and services.
  • Plans and for facility improvement projects. Project manages approved facilities projects.
  • Assists with preparing facilities capital budgets.
  • Responsible for keeping facilities maintenance expenses within the operating budget.
  • Takes part in safety and sustainability initiatives and committees.
  • Ensure facilities compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and employees.
  • Responds to employee facilities requests, completing approved requests within company guidelines.
  • Monitors and respond to alarm conditions.
  • Contribute to facility support activities such as office moves, area reconfiguration, painting.
  • Regular travel to regional facilities for inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Coordinates repairs for insurance claims related to facilities.
  • Must be part of on-call team to respond to alarms and emergencies
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Assist Fleet with allocation and delivery of vehicles assigned to drivers
  • Assist Fleet with tracking loaner vehicle assignments and usage
  • Assist Fleet with coordinating fleet repairs involving insurance claims (damage, loss, and theft claims).
  • Assist fleet with ensuring fleet and equipment are tracked, insured, and have current registration.
  • Assist fleet with annual inspections, moving vehicles, and minor maintenance
  • Assists as needed with CDL behind the wheel training and CDL road tests
