About The Position

To assist in ensuring the efficient operations, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment within the Peoria County Facilities and its grounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Should be able to perform duties with 3 months of on-the-job training and assume full responsibility for the position 6 months to 1 year, depending on the individual's ability and background experience.
• Working knowledge of blueprint reading, plumbing and electrical repair
• May be in extreme heat/cold
• Must interact with others in a professional manner

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems a plus, preferably with a minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in a facility of equivalent size.
• Preferred knowledge of interaction on a computer.
