Building Operations, Facilities Services – JLL What this job involves: This maintenance technician position involves performing light electrical work (lighting repairs, ballast replacement, troubleshooting), plumbing repairs (auto fixtures, drains, leaks), and carpentry tasks (drywall repair, ceramic tile replacement). What your day-to-day will look like: Perform general building maintenance tasks to ensure facility operations run smoothly Conduct light electrical work including light fixture maintenance, ballast replacement, and electrical troubleshooting Handle plumbing repairs including auto fixture maintenance, drain repair, and plumbing leak resolution Execute carpentry tasks such as drywall repair and ceramic tile replacement Utilize computer systems, particularly the SAP work order system, for task management and documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with restroom fixtures, replacements, leak repairs, and soldering
  • 3+ years light electrical experience up to 120V
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities across building systems
  • Commercial facilities maintenance experience
  • Ability to visually inspect machinery and buildings.
  • Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Able to work on roofs of buildings – able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.
  • Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.
  • Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate a motor vehicle.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school certification or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Life science industry facilities experience
  • 3+ years comprehensive facilities maintenance background
  • SAP work order system experience
