About The Position

Carparts.com is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to work with the Facilities manager in the upkeep, maintenance and/or repair of various equipment and items in the warehouse. The right candidate will have high attention to detail, can work without supervision and have a passion for maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

A Team player who can work with others.
Able to fully carry out instructions as given
Have light electrical experience
Have light plumbing experience
Computer literacy
Able to multitask.
You have stellar communication skills.
Flexible attitude
Self-motivation and a determination to succeed
Can manage deadlines
Detail Oriented
Prior facilities experience in warehouse.
Must be able to stand or walk up to 12 hours a day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds constantly

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Director of Operations on maintenance work and special projects.
Manage equipment repairs and maintenance.
Maintenance and repair of Conveyance Systems
Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies
Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
Fire Extinguisher Maintenance - annually
Compressor Maintenance - weekly, monthly and quarterly
Assists in battery maintenance - Keep batteries charged and watered
To ensure the cleanliness of the work area at the end of the shift.
To perform other work-related tasks that may be assigned.
Perform rack repair as needed
