About The Position

SUMMARY: To provide repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of the Tribally-owned buildings and surrounding grounds (lawn, parking lot, and support buildings). ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Oversee the maintenance of all Tribal buildings and equipment. Perform inspections and oversee maintenance work to ensure quality. Inform the supervisor of equipment or materials needed for the department. Ensure proper lawn care and maintenance. Receive work orders from the facilities supervisor. Handle plumbing needs in the facility. Address electrical needs in the facility. Conduct painting, carpentry, and varnishing tasks in the facility. Troubleshoot machinery and equipment to ensure safety and proper functionality. Maintain clean and hygienic conditions throughout tribal premises and facilities. Repair potential safety hazards to prevent injuries. Maintain a log of tribally owned property and equipment use. Perform routine maintenance around designated buildings. Assist with sidewalk maintenance in the community for safety. Collaborate with other departments for maintenance needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Two (2) years' experience in related field with knowledge of building trades preferred.
Must have valid Nebraska driver's license and be insurable.
Must be familiar with Life Safety Code JCAHO requirements and State Health Department regulations.
