About The Position

This role is an on-campus, in-person position. The Office of Budget and Finance - Facilities is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to provide comprehensive financial and accounting support. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and forecasting for the University's capital construction and facilities-related projects. Responsibilities include processing and monitoring contractual pay applications and invoices, preparing capital funding and reserve reports, projecting cash flow, and assisting in the auditing and close-out of construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's is required.
  • Master's is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills.
  • Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions.
  • Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Candidate must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills as well experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with construction and/or facilities with emphasis on project accounting and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Experience working with Capital Improvement Program Management Software (i.e. e-Builder), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or Integrated Workplace Management (IWMS, i.e. Planon), PeopleSoft Financials, construction pay application processes, capital project funding, and close-out auditing procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and process construction- and facilities-related pay applications and invoices in compliance with contractual terms and University policies.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to capital funding and University facilities reserves.
  • Assist in the auditing and close-out of construction projects.
  • Preparation of monthly cash flow projections.
  • Assist with special projects and associated reports.
