About The Position

The Facilities & Equipment Project Manager is responsible for leading capital equipment and facility-related projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures the successful planning, coordination, installation, commissioning, and closeout of equipment and facility upgrades while managing cost, schedule, safety, and performance outcomes. The person filling this position must be adaptable to active manufacturing environments, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects, and comfortable working cross-functionally with plant leadership, maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, including 10+ years of progressive experience leading industrial capital or facility projects
  • 7+ years of experience supporting or leading equipment installation, facility, or capital projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems including 480V 3-phase and DC control voltage environments
  • Proficiency with CAD software for layout and installation coordination
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines
  • Experience working directly with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ability to travel regularly to support multi-site operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital equipment and facility projects from scope development through installation, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans while tracking progress and managing risk.
  • Manage multiple concurrent capital and non-capital projects across manufacturing locations.
  • Coordinate equipment layout and footprint planning utilizing CAD software.
  • Oversee equipment installation activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Partner with plant maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime during installations.
  • Assess equipment performance and facility capabilities, identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Coordinate electrical power requirements including 480V 3-phase systems and DC control voltage environments.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for equipment vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Support vendor selection, scope definition, cost control, and performance management.
  • Travel regularly to manufacturing sites and provide on-site oversight during critical installation and commissioning phases.
  • Support occasional weekend or off-shift work as required to meet project timelines.
