Facilities Engineering Intern Job Description The Facilities Engineering Intern reports directly to the Chief Engineer and works closely with the engineering & property management teams. This role will provide support to all other building personnel and will constantly look for ways to improve personally and professionally, as well as improve the overall building performance.

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • Ability to work with a large, diverse group of employees and vendors.

  • Customer service and/or hospitality experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Address maintenance requests submitted via ticketing system.
  • Report completed tickets via ticketing system.
  • Execute short lead time tasks.
  • Report to chief engineer or assistant chief engineer for daily work schedules.
  • Assess and resolve maintenance issues onsite.
  • Proactive approach, walking sites to ensure space is kept to a high standard.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the tenant teams and members.
  • Periodically coordinate with chief engineer to discuss building operations & performance
  • HVAC filter changing, cleaning, and strainer cleaning.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance program.
  • Escort and assist outside vendors as needed.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them, reporting them immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws
  • Comply with all policies for the safe storage and usage of hazardous materials.
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
