About The Position

ElevateBio is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Intern to join the team. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented, organized, and have a strong desire to learn. Key responsibilities will be to work across the Facilities and Engineering team. Planning and scheduling, Facilities Operation, Metrology, Facilities Engineering and Process Engineering to support laboratory, Quality Control, GMP, and non-GMP facilities, equipment, instruments, and utilities Here’s What You’ll Do: Will work between the Facilities/Engineering Department and their customers and ensure that the operational areas or functions to which they are assigned receive prompt, efficient and quality service from the Facilities/Engineering function. Planning and Scheduling Reviews and screens all work orders to see that they are properly filled out: Work Scope clearly described Check if the priority and requested completion date are achievable. Ensures that work requested is required. Facilities Operations Assists the Facilities Operations team in their daily routine activities Assists with the daily walkdown Assists the Facilities Operations team when responding to work requests Assists in completion of GWR and MWR Metrology Assists the Metrology team in their daily routine activities Assists the Metrology team when responding to work requests Assists in completion of CWR’s Facilities Engineering Assists the Facilities Engineering team in providing technical expertise to support laboratory, Quality Control, GMP, and non-GMP facilities, equipment, instruments, and utilities. Process Engineering Assists the Process Engineering team in providing technical expertise to support laboratory, Quality Control, GMP Process equipment and instruments. Additional Scope Planning of resources, reporting, and ensuring work practices are consistent with GMP, Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested or required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of a wide variety of typical Facilities/Engineering Department tasks, including Planning and Scheduling, Facilities Operations, Metrology, Facilities Engineering and Process Engineering.
  • General principles of Engineering and Operation.
  • Strong leadership skills, written and verbal communications skills, be self-motivated, and possess interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively with little supervision when needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience applying these skills to resolve technical problems.
  • Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and organize resources in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under extreme pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Well organized and detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • A desire to work in a fast paced, state of the art, alternately research and customized manufacturing facility.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
