About The Position

As an Engineering/Architectural Intern, you will support the Facilities team in executing a wide range of projects across four Everett-area sites totaling approximately 720,000 square feet. This internship offers hands-on exposure to general construction, infrastructure upgrades, space planning, and sustainability initiatives, including greenhouse gas reduction projects. Projects may include office and factory moves, tenant improvements (TI buildouts), equipment installations, and facility upgrades. The intern will collaborate closely with facilities staff, engineers, contractors, and internal customers while gaining real-world project management and technical experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA 2.8 required
  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings (elevations, floorplans, reflected ceiling plans)
  • Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Strong computer skills and technical aptitude
  • Familiarity with project management concept, flowcharts, and technical documentation
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools
  • Adapts and works well with change

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and updating drawings, schematics, floorplans, and as-built documentation
  • Scan, catalog, and maintain building and project drawings
  • Conduct site surveys and field verification
  • Perform electrical breaker panel audits
  • Support development of project schedules, scope, budgets, and implementation plans
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including schedules, budgets and communications
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards
  • Support or lead layout change, office moves, space buildouts, and manufacturing equipment installations
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects using onsite and contracted resources
  • Participate in contractor job walks and onsite coordination meetings
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets
  • Collaborate with facilities staff and customers from various functional departments to define project scope
  • Collaborate with facilities staff and cross-functional customers to define project requirements
