Our team is made up of skilled engineers, HVAC technicians, sales, operations, and support staff who take pride in delivering high-quality service. We provide centralized support from our Denver headquarters, so our field teams can focus on doing what they do best—solving problems and keeping clients comfortable. Tolin Mechanical, an established, well recognized and respected HVAC service contractor, is looking for an experienced Facility Engineer to join our team in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking a candidate who meets the qualifications listed below. We have a solid team of experienced and respected technicians. Our business continues to grow, and we are looking for another solid technician that is interested in a long-term position and who will fit well into our team. Facility Engineers are focused on service and delivering long-term technical solutions for our clients. They maintain, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and more.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and productive working relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers
  • Well-rounded background as a Journeyman
  • Values and display exceptional customer service
  • Strong organization skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a building engineer capacity
  • Over 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a building engineer capacity
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Comfortable working on computers
  • Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • Mechanical: HVAC, plumbing, controls
  • Electrical: lighting, generators, primary switch gear
  • Hot water systems
  • Refrigeration
  • Hot water heaters
  • Pumps, valves, piping and filters
  • Variable Frequency Drives
  • Humidifiers
  • Maintain records and monitor equipment
  • Perform tests and rounds on building systems
