Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree + 12 years experience, Master’s + 10 years, Associate’s + 14 years, or High School diploma + 16 years relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
  • Background in physical security standards for facilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FAA programs, NAS systems, or air traffic control environments.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in facility/building management.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices, LEED standards, or energy-efficient systems.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities—including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security—to ensure near-perfect uptime.
  • System Installation & Maintenance: Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
  • Power Systems Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups to support mission-critical operations.
