Employee may be exposed to dust, noise, moving equipment, and temperature changes. Proper PPE must be worn when required. Position Overview The Facilities Employee is responsible for supporting the maintenance, cleanliness, and operation of company buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position ensures the facility remains safe, functional, and presentable by performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general facility support tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Nice To Haves
- Forklift Certification (Preferred)
- Scissor Lift Certification (Preferred)
- Lockout/Tagout Training (Preferred)
- Trade school or maintenance experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, clogs, fixture replacement)
- Basic electrical work (lights, outlets, minor troubleshooting)
- HVAC filter changes and basic maintenance
- Painting, drywall repair, and general building repairs
- Maintain and repair doors, locks, and hardware
- Assist with equipment moves and facility setup
- Maintain exterior areas (trash, weeds, organization, general upkeep)
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Report major repair issues to Facilities Lead
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain maintenance logs when required
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
- Demonstrate reliability and good attendance
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a professional attitude
- Take pride in facility appearance and functionality
- Lead by example with safety and work ethic
- Help train new facilities employees when needed
- Assist other departments when facility support is required
