Position Description: Facilities Electrical Maintenance Technician The Facilities Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within LayerZero’s facilities. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of all electrical infrastructure, supporting production and facilities needs while adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or facilities environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems, and building automation is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage maintenance activities and projects across multiple facilities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with local codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to support facility operations and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
