About The Position

Facilities Electrical Engineer (Entry or Associate) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing’s Engineering Puget South North organization is currently seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer, at either an Entry or Associate level, to join the Everett Engineering team in Everett, WA. This role involves working within a dynamic facilities environment that supports critical production operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated interest or experience in high, medium, and low voltage systems, with a strong focus on maintaining and upgrading aging infrastructure within manufacturing facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an ABET accredited program

Nice To Haves

  • EIT Certification
  • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using AutoCAD or a similar CAD package
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
  • Experience working with building codes and commercial construction, interpreting highly complex drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, and Revit

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of basic conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provides maintenance support for the electrical phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
  • Align electrical designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
  • Assist others to facilitate the implementation of basic improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability to specify configuration of new assets in order to support reliability programs
  • Become familiar with basics of design standards and site-specific operating procedures
  • With direct supervision, participate in infrastructure planning decision-making process
  • Support analysis of current conditions and future requirements; gather data and work with customers to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
  • Assist with code research and the development of initial project schedule to establish project scope
  • Participate in the interpretation and analysis of applicable regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances with respect to project requirements
