About The Position

The Facilities Construction Manager is responsible for managing all phases of facilities construction projects, including new builds, remodels, and decommissions. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining compliance with building codes and internal standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and local officials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of related experience preferred
  • Project Management - The ability and skill to plan and manage small project work assignments within desired cost, time and quality parameters including project planning, change, schedule, requirements, scope, etc.
  • Troubleshoots Technical Issues - Ability to employ a systematic process for solving technical issues by identifying the problem and selecting an appropriate solution- defines the problem, Identifies the cause of problems, Isolates the problem, Justifies a solution, Resolves the problem, Verifies the problem
  • Collaboration- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Creative Problem Solving - Ability to find practical solutions for unexpected business and client problems.
  • Communicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Ensures Accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and local officials to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets; track expenses to maintain financial control.
  • Inspect work for adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and internal standards.
  • Maintain accurate asset listings and update design standards documentation.
  • Respond effectively to delays, emergencies, and disruptions to minimize impact on timeline
