About The Position

CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Construction Coordinator to support construction projects in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining documentation, supporting procurement and contract processes, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently from start-up through closeout. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of construction experience required
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and action plans
  • Strong business and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of project management software
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven work experience in a construction or project coordination role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor construction project progress and address issues while preparing and distributing meeting minutes
  • Manage project document control from project start-up through closeout including purchase orders, change proposals, and as-builts
  • Maintain and track contract records within systems such as Unifier
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, order materials, and coordinate with vendors while maintaining budget control
  • Review project sites and documents to determine scope, constraints, and requirements
  • Organize and distribute drawings, specifications, RFIs, schedules, and submittals to project teams
  • Perform detailed data entry across multiple software platforms
  • Assist with site safety compliance meetings and documentation
  • Coordinate communication between field personnel and project stakeholders
  • Plan project work including activity sequencing, scheduling constraints, and resource needs
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment
  • Review completed project work for quality and compliance
  • Act as liaison between clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, codes, budgets, and schedules
  • Prepare project reports and status updates
  • Assist with staffing and resource planning to meet project goals
  • Support Project Managers with assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
