About The Position

Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Compliance Supervisor conducts quality assurance audits and facility inspections while maintaining regulatory compliance documentation. This role ensures continuous survey readiness in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and Department of Health standards. The position requires strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, computerized compliance systems, supervision, and basic building systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare facilities, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of TJC standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, Environment of Care, Life Safety, CMMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage computerized Quality Assurance (QA) programs within Maintenance Operations.
  • Schedule and conduct audits, inspections, and departmental evaluations; investigate quality-related complaints.
  • Maintain all regulatory documentation required by TJC, CMS, Department of Health, and other agencies.
  • Serve as departmental lead for TeamDoc or equivalent compliance documentation system, ensuring accuracy and survey readiness.
  • Conduct routine internal mock audits and track deficiencies, corrective actions, and Plans of Correction (POCs) through completion.
  • Maintain life safety, Environment of Care (EOC), Utilities Management, and inspection/testing documentation.
  • Coordinate and oversee required regulatory testing, including fire alarm systems, emergency power, medical gas, fire pumps, sprinklers, and other mandated inspections.
  • Ensure testing is completed on time, accurately documented, reviewed, and retained in the designated compliance platform.
  • Coordinate with internal staff and external vendors to schedule and validate required inspections and testing.
  • Maintain a master compliance calendar to prevent lapses in inspections or documentation.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and compliance metrics for leadership review.
  • Assist leadership during regulatory surveys and external inspections.
  • Respond to facility emergencies as directed and participate in regulatory committees.
  • Supervise assigned office staff and ensure data accuracy across QA and compliance systems.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Operate and maintain compliance and operational databases including TeamDocs, TeamChimes/TeamCoach, TeamOps, or similar systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and timely system updates.
