We’ll be happy to tell you more during the interview process! The Facilities Associate maintains the cleanliness of the facility, restrooms, and parking lots. Duties include vacuuming floors / carpets, sanitizing restrooms and office spaces as well as colleting trash in all areas of the facility. Maintain the buildings green footprint by adhering to and managing the recycling program. Conduct monthly inspection of the facility as outlined by management. Gathers, empties, recycles all trash. Cleans the building’s floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming, steam cleaning, and shampooing. Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other approved cleaning materials. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and other equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the parking lot including walkways, entry ways etc. Organize and collect all used and damaged wooden and plastic pallets for recycling. Arrange pick up of broken pallets as well as trash. Report all facility issues to the plant management team Keep inventory records for all cleaning and office supplies. Communicate to your manager when inventory levels are low and need purchased. Asist with building maintenance such as painting walls, doors, and floors etc. Collect and distribute incoming postal mail Monitor building security and safety by ensuring that all doors and gates are always locked and that equipment is turned off at end of shift Shovel snow / add salt to all entry walkways and sidewalks Support company / associate meetings preparation efforts (setting up chairs, tables etc.) Support production functions as needed Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years previous facilities maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, driving record sufficient to be covered under the company auto insurance plan
  • Organizational and time management skills very necessary
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone and unsupervised
  • Must be able to work safely and follow all safety protocol (Somebody who does not take short cuts)
  • Must be flexible and able to prioritize and multi-task duties
  • Able to operate a forklift

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid experience is a plus
  • Facilities maintenance experience (a plus)
