About The Position

Our Pet Supplies Plus distribution center in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a Facilities Assistant to complete facility cleaning, work orders, supplies, and grounds maintenance in support of distribution of all of our pet-friendly merchandise within our store supply chain.

Requirements

3-5 years experience in facilities/maintenance.
Associates Degree or Vocational Training.
elf-starter, driven individual.
Ability to prioritize actions and projects.
May be subject to temperature extremes and periods of loud noise.

Responsibilities

Cleaning assigned work areas, to include break areas, restrooms, offices, etc., to established standards.
Completing work order forms according to established procedures.
Completing inventory and issuing supplies to warehouse staff as needed.
Monitoring the cardboard baler and making bales as needed.
Safely operating the ride-on-floor scrubber and walking behind scrubber.
Inspecting, sorting and disposing of pest damaged/infested product.
Safely operating a scissor lift to perform high dusting as needed.
Mowing and trimming the grounds, controlling weeds and maintaining the landscaping.
Monitoring and maintaining the dog park cleanliness.
Assisting in monitoring and clearing jams on the cardboard line.
Cleaning the truck lots as needed.
Assisting maintenance staff with minor PMs and repairs when needed.
Cleaning the trash compactor area.
Maintaining water bottles at coolers.
Maintaining a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental staff at all times.
Cleaning and maintaining work area to ensure safety as well as easy retrieval of tools and equipment.
Keeping facility in “tour ready” state of cleanliness both interior and exterior.
Consistently following safety procedures when working within the facility.
