About The Position
The Facilities Assistant supports the daily maintenance and operation of various clinic and administrative spaces at Dent. This role helps ensure the environment is safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for patients and staff by performing general maintenance, minor repairs, and facility-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Basic carpentry and handyman skills
- Experience with painting, furniture assembly, and light installation work
- Basic plumbing and electrical repair skills
- Ability to safely operate common power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines
- Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform basic carpentry and general handyman duties within a medical office setting
- Paint, assemble, install, and move office and clinic furniture and equipment
- Assist with small building repairs and routine maintenance
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks (no certification required)
- Safely use basic hand tools and power tools
- Assist with snow removal and exterior maintenance as necessary
- Monitor clinic spaces and identify facility issues that may impact patient care or staff operations
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve building or clinic-related issues as they arise
- Work around patients and staff in a professional, respectful, and discreet manner
- Perform basic general repair tasks
- Perform other duties related to facilities and maintenance as requested
