What would you do as a Facility Assistant As a Full-Time Facility Assistant at Child Advocates of Blair County, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and inviting environment for our young learners across Blair County. This hands-on position involves everything from performing scheduled site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, to conducting preventative and routine maintenance on our buildings, grounds and playground equipment. Your work will include tasks like mowing, trimming, and even snow and ice removal during inclement weather, all to ensure facilities are accessible and safe. You’ll also manage inventory for facilities supplies, ensuring that classrooms and centers are well-stocked and ready for action. Finally, your commitment to cleanliness will shine through as you tackle custodial duties, from emergency clean-ups to seasonal deep cleaning projects, all while adhering to health and safety protocols. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in operating a range of light equipment—like lawn mowers, snow blowers, and power tools
• Ability to carry out scheduled inspections and documentation accurately
• Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing inventory and ensuring timely supply distribution across our facilities
• A keen eye for detail will be vital when it comes to maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout our spaces
