About The Position

Are you passionate about working in a childcare facility and supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of the building? The Learning Experience seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeping team member to join our team as an ambassador of happiness. You'll play a key role in making a difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities by keeping our center clean, and completing some minor housekeeping tasks daily.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work a schedule of 11am-8pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the childcare facility, including classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and staff spaces.
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, laundry, and floor care in accordance with childcare health and safety standards.
  • Support basic facilities needs, including setting up and breaking down rooms, monitoring supplies, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns to leadership.
  • Follow all proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control procedures to ensure a healthy environment for children, staff, and families.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of cleaning, sanitation, and facility supplies as required by local and state regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Center Leadership team and teaching staff to ensure the facility remains organized, functional, and welcoming.
  • Provide friendly and professional interactions with children, families, and staff, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to the daily operational needs of a childcare center, including occasional support with special projects or events.
