The difference you will make: As Lead Facilitator, Manager Development – Tech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a broad portfolio of manager and executive development programs for Airbnb’s technical leaders. You will design and facilitate workshops and immersive leadership development experiences for senior managers, directors, and leadership teams, serving as both a hands-on facilitator and a thought partner and collaborator with program managers. In partnership with other team members, you’ll lead the design, piloting and scaling of Senior Manager and Director development programs for Tech leaders. Success in this role requires deep experience working with technologists, a high bar for rigor and excellence, and the ability to apply iterative and continuous improvement practices, including data-driven measurement and feedback loops. Your approach is grounded in learning science, cognitive development, and behavioral science. You have exceptional graphic and visual design skills and can create compelling learning materials. Above all, you are highly collaborative, deeply engage stakeholders, and thrive on working closely with others to deliver impactful work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience applying learning, organizational, or behavioral science to real-world leadership challenges, with demonstrated impact across multiple practice areas
  • 3+ years working directly within a technology organization, driving process, efficiency, and organizational improvements
  • Curriculum and program design expertise, specifically in manager and leadership development programs for technical audiences
  • Proven track record as an extraordinary facilitator of workshops and leadership experiences, engaging and inspiring senior leaders and leadership teams (including groups exceeding 100 participants)
  • 3+ years coaching senior technology leaders, enabling measurable leadership growth
  • Demonstrated strength in building trusted relationships and deeply engaging stakeholders across multiple groups and geographies
  • Highly collaborative—works seamlessly with others to deliver high-impact programs and initiatives
  • Strong understanding of technology and engineering organizations and how they operate
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and experimentation—a willingness to iterate and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • High degree of executive presence—responsive, business-focused, demonstrating integrity, sound judgment, and effective prioritization across competing demands
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience marketing and branding learning initiatives
  • Data-driven approach to evaluating and measuring learning experiences, with comfort iterating based on feedback and results
  • Exceptional graphic and visual design skills for learning materials, presentations, and digital assets
  • Deep knowledge of learning science, cognitive development, and behavioral science
  • Produces clear, comprehensive, and well-structured documentation that enables knowledge sharing and operational excellence
  • Proficiency using presentation technologies, Google Apps, and spreadsheets
  • Management experience; you understand leadership challenges firsthand because you’ve been a manager yourself.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create content, and facilitate workshops and leadership development experiences for Airbnb’s technical leadership teams, always tailored to unique needs and business objectives.
  • Facilitate engaging, high-impact learning experiences for senior leaders, fostering meaningful growth and participation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Tech L&D to ensure alignment with overall organizational strategy.
  • Partner closely with technical leaders to understand organizational gaps and design experiences that unlock insights and drive meaningful leadership actions.
  • Engage deeply with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure programs are relevant and impactful.
  • Collaborate extensively with fellow program managers, team members, and cross-functional partners to co-design, pilot, and continuously improve manager and executive development experiences.
  • Develop tools, resources, and digital content to support learning initiatives.
  • Apply graphic and visual design principles to create engaging presentations, learning materials, and digital assets.
  • Proactively seek, integrate, and act on feedback—both for your personal growth as a practitioner and to enhance the effectiveness of all learning programs through data-driven improvement.
