About The Position

Lockwood Hills Federal is looking to hire a Supervisor in Facial Recognition on second shift. The Operations Supervisor engages with, supervises, directs, trains, and assists staff in performing applicable support functions as it relates to the work unit assigned at the KCC. The Operations Supervisor supervises employees and day to day operations ensuring that work performed in his/her functional area is performed to optimum quality standards and provides procedures and retraining to employees as needed. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience (in a production environment preferred).
  • 3 years of VSS program experience may be considered in lieu of supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or higher preferred).
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to successfully complete a corporate background investigation, including credit and criminal checks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret security clearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a professional work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Analytical skills to successfully analyze and evaluate data.
  • Ability to disseminate information to a wide audience.

Responsibilities

  • Engages with, supervises, directs, trains, and assists staff in performing applicable support functions as it relates to the function assigned.
  • Supervises employees and the day-to-day operations ensuring that work performed in functional areas is performed to optimum quality standards.
  • Provides direction through processes and procedures to employees as needed.
  • Uses independent judgement to assign work to employees based on site needs to meet production or quality requirements (objectives/goals).
  • Assists Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Managers and Unit Managers to ensure timely delivery of all deliverables as they relate to functional areas.
  • Tracks progress of all activities in functional area and recommends adjustments to achieve objectives.
  • Reports functional area status to the Unit Manager or Assistant Operations Manager as appropriate.
  • Manages employees using the progressive discipline process as outlined in the LDRM handbook and collective bargaining agreement where applicable.
  • Identifies employees who have interest in growth and advancement, then making recommendations for promotions.
  • Identifies employees who are not performing or have recurring behavioral issues and recommends termination as final step of disciplinary process.
  • Initiates performance reviews for employees within area of responsibility.
  • Interviews and assesses applicants and makes recommendations for employee selection.
  • Trains new employees and conducts refresher training for current employees.
  • Ensures that the SOPs for his/her area of responsibility are used, understood, and kept up to date.
