Scope of Position The Solid Surface Fabricator performs progressive fabrication operations to meet precise tolerances and finish specifications. This role requires proficiency in equipment setups, fabrication techniques, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates with team members to ensure timely delivery of products. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role is onsite and is based in Menomonee Falls.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Experience operating fabrication tools such as routers, sanders, saws, and polishers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators (requires successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests; proper respirator fit requires a clean-shaven face).
  • Understanding of applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.

  • Respirators are required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests are required.
  • Proper Respirator fit requires a clean shaven face.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years previous experience in solid surface fabrication, woodworking, or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with custom sink production or working with materials like Terreon or other solid surfaces.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating industrial lift trucks.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Understand and abide by all company safety policies.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including respirators, and comply with fit and pulmonary function testing requirements.
  • Fabricate custom solid surface sinks and components according to customer specifications and design drawings.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble solid surface materials with precision and attention to detail.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and aesthetic standards.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as routers, sanders, saws, and polishers to meet production schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or fabrication issues promptly.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to reduce downtime and repair costs.
  • Optimize material usage during fabrication to minimize waste.
  • Support adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to fabrication processes and product quality.
  • Help create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters innovation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members across departments to meet production goals.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to develop machine operation skills.
  • Assist experienced operators as needed and learn standard safety practices.
  • Helps support other department functions as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.
