The Skippy Foods Plant has an opening for a first shift Fabricator. You will be a key member of a world-class maintenance team in a peanut butter manufacturing facility. You will perform each job safely. This multi-skill maintenance position performs predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on processing, packaging, and material handling equipment, some of which is controlled by state-of-the art automation. This equipment ranges in age from new to 35 years. You will determine the root cause of any breakdowns that occur and put corrective actions in place to prevent a reoccurrence. You will work closely with the Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. You may serve on a variety of different teams such as Fire Prevention, Safety, Innovation, and Capital Projects.

Requirements

A proven personal safety record
5 years industrial or 2 years military experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment
2-year technical degree, military training certification, or journeyman license
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, including 480 volt industrial control circuits, electrical motors, and drives
Experience inspecting equipment using predictive maintenance technologies such as: oil analysis, infrared, ultrasonic, thermal imaging, etc. in order to prevent failures and ensure reliability
Experience in 2 of the following skill sets: welding, plumbing, carpentry, auto repair, sheet metal fabrication, millwright work, HVAC
Demonstrated initiative in solving problems, making repairs, troubleshooting, and developing corrective actions
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends, as business dictates

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting or programming Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus
A strong knowledge of National Electrical Code, including a Masters electrical license
